The first global racquet sports social network, Setteo, has partnered with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) to provide a powerful club management and marketing tool to USPTA members. Setteo is now the official club and tournament software platform of the USPTA.
Setteo is an innovative combination of social network and management software for clubs. It is designed to help professionals and clubs boost their communications capacity, visibility and credibility (a mix of Linkedin, Tripadvisor and Facebook), as well as manage their businesses, i.e., memberships, court bookings, lessons, events and competitions. Setteo was founded by Pierre-Emmanuel Czaja, former pro tour player and former GM of HEAD in Spain & Portugal with a broad-based executive international experience in business development, strategy, innovation and team management.
“We are very excited about building a strong, long-term mutually beneficial relationship with the USPTA, its 17 divisions and its members. This partnership is an important step toward the digitization of grassroots tennis in the USA and the development of the global community of racquet sports players and professionals. With the support of the USPTA we will build the grassroots tennis of tomorrow,” said Czaja.
Setteo will provide USPTA members a 10 percent discount for premium registration and product use along with free customer service. Members who partner with Setteo will receive a free website to promote their business to their customer base. In addition, each of the 17 USPTA divisions’ websites will be hosted by Setteo.
“With social media becoming the norm for instant communication in today’s marketplace, Setteo is the perfect platform for the USPTA and its members,” said USPTA CEO John Embree. “The partnership with Setteo is going to raise the visibility of USPTA around the world.”
The USPTA Surface Championships, including the Masters Invitational held during the 2016 USPTA World Conference, will be run on the Setteo platform. Training sessions for USPTA members will be available at the conference, and the transition for those who were using the previous platform for club operations will occur during the fourth quarter.
Founded in 1927, USPTA strives to raise the standards of the tennis profession while promoting greater awareness of the sport. USPTA offers nearly 70 professional benefits to its more than 15.000 members worldwide, including certification and professional development. With more than 300 days of educational opportunities throughout the year, USPTA offers the most comprehensive continuing education program in the tennis industry.
